Visit to Citi

Ambassador Mandell was hosted by Charles Denotte, Country Officer, at a courtesy visit to the offices of Citi in Bertrange on September 25th.

Citi, the former Citigroup, is one of the major U.S. banks operating in Luxembourg and a member of the Association of American Banks (AABL) and the Association of Banks and Bankers (ABBL). Citi, present since 1970, started as a private bank but grew into one of the largest independent administrators of investment funds, in line with the exponential growth of cross-border, or UCITS, funds domiciled in the Grand Duchy. Currently, Citi Luxembourg employs 231 persons (of a worldwide total of 265,000) and is also engaged in a number of charities, as part of the company’s program for corporate social responsibility, including microfinance projects and the Foyer Ste-Elisabeth, in addition to the Young Entrepreneurs organization.
